Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Sixth Scale Vault ("the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Sixth Scale Vault iOS application. We built the app for collectors, and we treat your data the way we'd want ours treated: we collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account and data at any time from inside the app.
1. Information We Collect
Account data. Sixth Scale Vault uses Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to manage accounts. You can use the app with an anonymous account, or sign in with Sign in with Apple. If you sign in with Apple, we receive an account identifier and — only if you choose to share them — your name and email address. Apple lets you hide your real email address, and the app works fine if you do. Anonymous accounts are identified only by a randomly generated ID.
Collection data. The figures you mark as owned, your preorders and their payment progress, your wishlists, and related notes or details you enter are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, linked to your account ID, so your collection syncs and is available when you reinstall or change devices. This data is yours; we use it only to provide the app's features.
Usage and analytics data. We use Firebase / Google Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example, which screens are visited and whether the app crashes. This may include device model, iOS version, app version, coarse geographic region, and pseudonymous identifiers. We use this information to fix bugs and improve the app, not to build advertising profiles.
Push notification tokens. If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging generates a device token so we can deliver notifications (for example, about new releases). You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.
Purchase data. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store, and we use RevenueCat to validate and manage subscription status. We receive information such as your subscription tier, purchase and renewal dates, and an anonymized transaction identifier. We never see or store your credit card number or other payment details — those are handled entirely by Apple.
2. What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your precise location.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or files.
- We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
- We do not use your data for third-party advertising or share it with data brokers.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and sync your collection, preorders, and wishlists.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To validate your Pro subscription status.
- To send push notifications you have opted into.
- To diagnose crashes and improve app performance and features.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
4. Third-Party Services
The app relies on a small number of service providers, each of which processes data on our behalf under their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Analytics) — Firebase Privacy
- Apple (App Store purchases, Sign in with Apple) — Apple Privacy
- RevenueCat (subscription management) — RevenueCat Privacy
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Your account and collection data are retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Settings → Delete Account). Deleting your account permanently removes your user document — including your collection, preorders, and wishlists — from Cloud Firestore and deletes your authentication record from Firebase Authentication. This action cannot be undone.
Aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for statistical purposes. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their own policies and applicable law.
6. Data Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure with industry-standard protections. Access to your collection data is restricted by security rules so that only your authenticated account can read or write it. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow current best practices to protect your information.
7. Children's Privacy
Sixth Scale Vault is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Most of these you can exercise directly in the app — your collection data is visible to you at all times, and account deletion is built in. For anything else, email us and we will help.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
